Mercedes-Benz EQS arrives at VMS 2022 with the focal point of the German brand booth, dubbed the S-Class electric version, but Mercedes-Benz EQS has many differences.

Mercedes-Benz EQS, launched globally in April last year, was officially present at VMS 2022 with the focal point of the German brand’s booth.

In Vietnam, EQS is distributed with 2 versions including EQS 450+ and EQS 580 4Matic. The price of these two versions is VND 4,839 billion and VND 5,959 billion, respectively.

EQS marks the first model to use an all-electric chassis of the German corporation called EVA (Electric Vehicle Architecture). This is also the basis for all electric car models of the company later.

In terms of design, Mercedes-Benz EQS retains most of the Vision EQS concept frame launched before, most obviously, its round body. LED headlights are connected by a thin light bar running in the middle, below is a closed heatsink with a 3-D star pattern.

The side of the car has floating lines and the window structure is gradually raised to the rear, along with large alloy wheels as well as hidden door handles as the focus.

The most advanced version uses 21-inch AMG wheels. The rear of the car mainly revolves around LED taillights with quite sophisticated graphics.

When launched last year, Mercedes-Benz EQS was the first model to be equipped with a massive MBUX Hyperscreen screen structure that combines 3 screens under a common glass frame, equivalent in size to 56 inches. The entertainment system has 15-speaker Burmester sound.

Mercedes-Benz EQS has 2 powertrain configurations, usually EQS 450+ single motor and EQS 580 4MATIC twin motor. Both use the same battery, but the parameters of the two sides are quite different.

The lower version has a capacity of 329 hp and 568 Nm of torque while the high version has a capacity of 516 hp and 858 Nm of torque with traction control.

The operating range on the Mercedes-Benz EQS reaches 642-783 km. Fast charge 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. In Vietnam, a model at the same price level as the Mercedes-Benz EQS is the Porsche Taycan.
